In a series of posts dated May 12 and May 14, 2026, he shared his perspectives and encouraged civic engagement among Californians.
On May 12, Assemblyman Tri Ta expressed concerns about proposed changes to California’s college admissions policies. He stated, “Californians have spoken clearly on affirmative action. Voters support a system where students are judged by their achievements and effort, not by race or background. College admissions should be based on merit. ACA 7 moves California in the wrong direction by reopening the door”.
Later that day, he reminded residents about the importance of maintaining accurate voter records. In his post from May 12, he wrote, “Are your voter registration details up to date? California provides official online voter registration tools to register to vote or confirm your current registration information.”
On May 14, Assemblyman Tri Ta reflected on meeting Shannon Lee at the State Capitol during Bruce Lee Day events. He shared his personal admiration for Bruce Lee’s legacy with the following message: “It was an incredible honor to meet Shannon Lee, Bruce Lee’s daughter, at the State Capitol during the Bruce Lee Day commemorations. Growing up, Bruce Lee was one of my heroes for the way he introduced martial arts to new generations and inspired young people around the world. His”.
