Assemblyman Tri Ta, a member of the California State Assembly, has recently addressed several issues and announcements through his social media posts.
On September 11, 2025, Ta commemorated the anniversary of the September 11 attacks by honoring both victims and first responders. He stated, “Today we honor the lives lost and the first responders who showed unmatched courage on September 11. This day reminds us to stand together as one nation, united in strength and hope.”
The following day, on September 12, 2025, Ta issued an urgent call regarding pending state legislation. In his post he wrote, ” Urgent Alert! Join me in calling on Governor Newsom to VETO AB 495. This dangerous bill creates a predator loophole that would allow minors to be taken from school without their parents’ knowledge or consent. Parents deserve to know where their children are — and kids”. AB 495 is a bill currently under consideration in California’s legislature that has drawn attention from various stakeholders due to concerns about parental rights and student safety.
Later that same day, Ta promoted an opportunity for young Californians interested in poetry. He announced: “Applications are now open for the first California Teen Poet Laureate! California residents aged 13-19 can apply to represent the Golden State at events over a two-year term. Learn more and apply here: https://t.co/j0Tt4XnqvE @CalArtsCouncil”. The initiative aims to encourage youth participation in arts and culture across the state.
Tri Ta represents constituents in California’s State Assembly and frequently uses his platform to share updates on legislative matters as well as community programs.
