Assemblyman Tri Ta, who represents California’s 70th Assembly District, has recently posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account highlighting both historical remembrance and local community initiatives.

On December 7, 2025, Assemblyman Ta marked the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor with a commemorative message. He stated, “Eighty four years ago in Hawaii, the attack on Pearl Harbor drew the United States into World War II. Today we remember the more than 2,400 lives lost and honor the young Americans who answered the call to serve with courage and conviction.”

Later that same day, he promoted a reading challenge for children in Orange County. According to his post from December 7, 2025, “Kids across Orange County can take part in Wild Wing’s Winter Reading Challenge with OC Public Libraries and the Anaheim Ducks. From December 8 to January 31, children 14 and under can log their reading minutes on Beanstack and earn fun Ducks prizes like bookmarks, sunglasses,” indicating efforts to encourage literacy through partnerships between public libraries and local sports organizations.

On December 9, 2025, Assemblyman Ta shared information about a college savings initiative: “Start saving for your child or grandchild’s future with a ScholarShare 529 College Savings account. ScholarShare’s Holiday Promotion offers a $50 Instacart gift card when you open a new account, enroll by December 12, and set up recurring contributions. Visit” The ScholarShare 529 program is California’s official college savings plan designed to help families prepare financially for higher education expenses.

The commemoration of Pearl Harbor Day is an annual observance in the United States recognizing the attack that occurred on December 7, 1941. The event led directly to U.S. involvement in World War II and is remembered nationwide each year as an important moment in American history.

The Wild Wing’s Winter Reading Challenge represents ongoing efforts by Orange County Public Libraries and community partners such as the Anaheim Ducks to foster youth engagement with reading during school breaks.

ScholarShare 529 plans are tax-advantaged savings vehicles available to California residents seeking to save for future educational costs; promotions like those mentioned by Assemblyman Ta aim to increase participation among families looking for ways to manage rising tuition expenses.
