On Friday, May 23, former Los Alamitos High School standout Sophia Nugent’s current collegiate team the Tennessee Lady Volunteers lost 2-5 against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship.

The game took place at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium at 7 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the tournament.

The Tennessee Lady Volunteers’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 24 at 5:05 p.m. at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
