On November 17, 2024, Rep. Steel highlighted the importance of Military Families Appreciation Month by stating that it is an opportunity to express gratitude not only to service members and veterans but also to their families and loved ones who support them. "Military Families Appreciation Month is a chance to thank not only the service members and veterans who defend our nation, but also the families and loved ones who stand behind these heroes and support their service."

In another tweet dated November 18, 2024, Rep. Steel addressed concerns regarding antisemitic protests at educational institutions such as UCLA. She emphasized that both students and Jewish communities deserve better protection from such incidents. "Yet another review that found schools like UCLA failed to protect students from antisemitic protests on campuses. Our students deserve better. Our Jewish communities deserve better."

On November 19, 2024, Rep. Steel expressed her commitment to improving benefits for military personnel by announcing her participation in passing the bipartisan Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act. This legislation aims to reduce bureaucratic obstacles for veterans seeking quality benefits and support services."The men and women who have courageously served in our military deserve quality benefits and support...
