### Steel Brings Over $27 Million Back to Southern California

Rep. Michelle Steel (R-CA) has successfully secured over $27 million in funding for various projects in Southern California's 45th District. The funding, included in the U.S. House of Representatives Fiscal Year 2024 package, will support key infrastructure and public safety needs in the region.

In a statement, Rep. Steel emphasized the importance of the projects, stating, “These projects provide much needed upgrades to our communities from law enforcement facilities to critical water and transportation infrastructure.”

Local officials expressed gratitude for the funding and highlighted the impact it will have on their respective communities. Placentia Mayor Jeremy B. Yamaguchi praised the support for a Next Gen 911 dispatch system, emphasizing its role in enhancing public safety. Westminster Chief of Police Darin Lenyi acknowledged Rep. Steel's efforts in securing funding for a data center, crucial for emergency response and communication protection.

Buena Park Mayor Susan Sonne thanked Rep. Steel for supporting the city's new municipal water well project, which aims to increase local water supply reliability and create employment opportunities. Artesia Mayor Tony Lima expressed excitement for the approved funding to repair and reconstruct roads, emphasizing the investment in the city's future prosperity.

Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones highlighted the significance of the funding for infrastructure and public safety projects, thanking Rep. Steel for her dedicated support. Additionally, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Anaheim-Cypress expressed appreciation for the support, noting the positive impact on services for youth in the community.

The funding includes various projects such as police station rehabilitation, cyber security enhancements, road rehabilitation, water well construction, and recreational facility improvements across different cities in Southern California.

This substantial investment brought by Rep. Steel underscores the commitment to improving the quality of life and safety for residents in the region.
